Help Us Tackle Our Goal Of Raising $5,000 For The Dabo Swinney All-In Team Foundation
With fall approaching, that means one thing: football season! Deep in Clemson Tiger country, residents across upstate South Carolina are gearing up for barbecues and tailgates while the Tigers continue to refine their strategy in hopes to repeat 2019’s championship-winning season.
However, amidst all the fun of competition, it’s important to remember that when the game is done and everyone heads home, we’re all still part of the same family – and some of us are still struggling. Though we may have won the battle on the field, the fight against cancer continues, with millions affected every year.
Although incidence rates have been on a gradual decline since the year 2000, the numbers are still high. We all know a friend or a loved one affected by breast cancer. In fact, one in eight women will develop breast cancer in their lifetimes. In the year 2019 alone, medical professionals expect to diagnose over 268,000 new cases of breast cancer in the U.S. women and over 2,500 cases in men. This disease will take the lives of 40,000 women in the United States this year.
While research consistently makes headway in fighting this disease, breast cancer remains the most common form of cancer for women in the United States and the fourth most common overall – and the second most deadly, preceded only by lung cancer.
Even after the teams have left the field, some of our friends and loved ones will still be fighting. But they won’t fight alone.
How Tigers For Tatas Help Breast Cancer Treatment Efforts
Spencer Pest Services has a long history of supporting the battle against cancer. As part of our Pest Control For A Cure program, the team at Spencer organized a number of fundraisers and events in conjunction with non-profits like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and the American Cancer Society, and more.
October 1, 2019 marks the first day of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In honor of this month’s fight against breast cancer, join Spencer Pest Services in our Tigers for Tatas campaign to support breast cancer research.

Head coach Dabo Swinney and his wife, Kathleen, formed Dabo’s All In Team Foundation to help raise funding for health education and research across South Carolina. Proceeds from Tigers for Tatas will help fund a number of local hospitals across the state so that they can provide breast cancer patients with the medical care and treatment that they deserve!
This football season, share your tatas and join us in giving breast cancer the boot!
